Dear Friends of Habitat for Humanity
I am honored to have been selected as a nominee last year with Habitat for Humanity in San Diego for the Ground Breaking Award Ceremony, an award honoring women leaders and contributors to the community. My husband, friends and family all sent in nominations and I was in the top eight out of many women. I continued my volunteer work with Habitat out on the worksite in Escondido. I recently did an interview with Elizabeth Neubrand from SDHFH on ‘Inside San Diego' to promote our much needed help with the projects pending.
I was invited by Habitat to be an Honorary Committee member and I have a huge order to fill. We are hosting a golf tournament @ Coronado Municipal Golf Course on September 20, 2007, details are attached. Silent Auction items are being accepted.

100% of all tournament proceeds will benefit San Diego Habitat for Humanity's mission in "Lending a Hand Up" to San Diego families in need. This year our goal is to raise $200,000 to fund one home for a San Diego family in need.

San Diego Habitat for Humanity's mission of "Building Homes, Building Hope" has resulted in the building of 92 homes throughout San Diego County, including 21 for the victims of the October 2003 Wildfires. There are 7 homes currently under construction and over 50 more homes are in the planning stages.
We are excited to announce the San Diego Habitat for Humanity Drive It Home Golf Tournament to be held Thursday, September 20, 2007 at the renowned Coronado Municipal Golf Course. Our goal for this fundraiser is to raise $200,000, the amount needed to build one house for a San Diego family in need.
Our Silent Auction and Opportunity Drawing raise a substantial amount of funds needed to meet our goal. We need your assistance in making this year's event the biggest and best ever!
We ask that you please consider donating to our Silent Auction and Opportunity Drawing. We are seeking items(s) valued between $250 and $10,000 for the auction, items valued between $5,000 and $10,000 for the Opportunity Drawing, and items to be included in the player's Goodie Bags.
Donations exceeding a value of $5000 will be considered Premier Auction Item and will be included on the "Drive it Home Golf Tournament" invitation. (Please note, donations must be received by July 2nd to be included on the invitation).
Recognition of your contribution will be displayed on the bid sheet with your item and in the Awards Dinner Program.
